Freelance Lettering Artist Resources

Helping my peers and giving back to the lettering arts community is very important me. I have created a number of resources – online and in print – for hand lettering freelancers to grow their skill sets and businesses.

Calligrafile.com

Calligrafile.com is my side project (and a huge labor of unpaid love). It’s a 100% free library of trusted tools and resources for calligraphers, hand lettering artists, type enthusiasts, and creative freelancers. With 500+ recommended products and services in dozens of categories, Calligrafile is the internet's largest resource of its kind, making it an exciting and valuable tool for anyone who loves and works with letters – from the professional artist to the weekend hobbyist. You can also follow Calligrafile on Instagram: @calligrafile.

The Calligrapher’s Business Handbook

This is my second book, and one I wrote for my fellow lettering artists. There is a great deal of uncertainty surrounding the business of calligraphy and hand lettering and, over the years, I’ve heard the same questions and run into the same misconceptions time and again. My goal in writing this book was to provide answers to these questions and to clarify misconceptions about the business side of hand lettering by creating a guide to the best practices and pricing strategies of successful, professional lettering artists.
